Ariel Winger

Ariel Winger is a highly experienced and dedicated family law attorney who has been offering uncontested, amicable, out-of-court divorce options since 2007.

With over 26 years of experience, she specializes in divorce and family law and serves clients in California. Before starting her own practice, Ariel worked for 5 years at a nonprofit organization where she successfully litigated on behalf of survivors of domestic violence and their children. She obtained Temporary and Permanent Restraining Orders, Child Visitation and Custody Orders, and Child Support.
In her current practice, Ariel offers amicable and uncontested divorce and separation options for those who want to avoid going to court. She has extensive experience handling high conflict and complex cases involving domestic violence, substance abuse, and mental illness. She provides services as a Mediator, Collaborative Divorce attorney, and nonadversarial attorney in Settlement Negotiations, as well as Legal Advising and Coaching. Her goal is to help her clients achieve a mutually agreeable settlement.

Ariel works with same-sex and Opposite Sex couples, as well as Unmarried Parents, in obtaining Dissolution of Marriage, Dissolution of Registered Domestic Partnerships, and Judgments of Paternity. She is culturally competent, trauma-informed, anti-racist, and provides compassionate and non-judgmental services for all races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities, and socio-economic statuses. She also has extensive experience working with LGBTQ couples and those in poly relationships.

Ariel is licensed to practice law in California and has been a member of the California State Bar since 1996. In addition, she is a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, Collaborative Practice East Bay, and the Family Law Section of the Alameda County Bar Association.

Ariel earned her J.D. in 1995 from New College of California and her B.A. in Psychology in 1991 from Mills College. She has an Honors degree in psychology.
