Carlos A. Aldarondo

Carlos is admitted to the practice of law in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. He is also certified as an Engineer in Training (EIT) and a Patent Valuation Analyst (CPVA). These additional qualifications provide Carlos with a unique perspective on the technical and financial aspects of patent law, enabling him to provide comprehensive legal advice to his clients.

Carlos has a passion for helping others and has volunteered as a team mentor for the Grupo Guayacan I-Corps PR 7 program. As a mentor, he helped team members advance their ideas, technologies, or products towards commercialization. Prior to his current position, Carlos served as a law clerk for Aldarondo & Lopez Bras, PSC, where he performed civil/criminal legal research, reviewed legal documents, and analyzed litigation material for resolution of interlocutory motions. He also attended open court civil/criminal judicial proceedings before the District Court and oral arguments before the First Circuit Court of Appeals. Additionally, Carlos worked as a student law clerk for Hon. Daniel R. Dominguez and Hon. Gustavo A. Gelpi at the USDC for the District of Puerto Rico in 2011.

Carlos is a highly decorated professional with numerous awards, professional associations, and certifications. He is a member of the American Bar Association’s Intellectual Property Law Section, the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA), the College of Engineers and Surveyors of Puerto Rico, the Federal Bar Association’s Intellectual Property and Communications Law Sections, the Internet Society’s Puerto Rico Chapter, the National Association of Patent Practitioners (NAPP), and the Penn State Alumni Association.
